The enlightenment brought by the failure of DPVP108 Pump Overhaul

Months ago, one customer reported that they have ever purchased several sets of DPVP108 pump repair parts from another Chinese manufacturer for pump maintenance, and as a result, all these pumps repaired with the parts supplied by that Chinese manufacturer were damaged in less than a month and even weeks after the pump was delivered from the factory, a total of about 10 units.

We carefully asked about the relevant situation, referred to the pictures of the damaged parts, and based on our years of experience, we roughly judged that the piston was not working properly, causing the slipper shoe to detach from the set plate, and the abnormal friction caused by no oil lubrication, which aggravated the damage to the piston.

Data validates our inferences:

The rotary group of DPVP108 pump consists of piston shoe+set plate+ball guide+coil spring+barrel+valve plate+shim. During manufacturing, each parts has different tolerance. If wrong tolerance was effected, surely the rotary group will work improperly! See following height difference between OEM and China replacement's.

From the picture, we can see the height of Chinese replacement is lower about 0.35mm than the OEM. With such big difference, the preload of rotary group is very poor and insufficient and will make the piston out of set plate.

In the process of oil absorption, the piston shoe mainly relies on the set plate to make it close to the swash plate. If it is not tightly attached, the piston will not work properly and will be damaged abnormally. Therefore, to make the repair work to go smoothly, we must repair the pump with the original spare parts or high-quality replacement parts. Incorrect parts can cost the boss a lot of money.
